Within These Leaves (2024) — Book in a Book
This book is an experimental publication that examines the book by performing its own topic. One side presents a minimal “book within a book” with technical and theoretical reflections on bookmaking; flipped, the book reveals a more subjective voice, exploring personal impressions and relationships to the form. Its physical structure expresses this conceptual duality.
The project functions as a handbook, an ABC on book design. Each student contributed research on four terms, combining a precise technical definition with a more interpretive perspective. I unified the material into a coherent editorial system and layout.
